Liverpool kept up their winning start to the season, keeping pace with Man City at the top of the league after a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Monday night, but Liverpool fans weren’t happy with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The youngster put in a number of wayward early crosses and many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to berate him for his poor delivery.
To be fair to Alexander-Arnold it was the only side of his game that looked poor tonight although some fans criticised him for making too many backward passes.
One fan asked if he was getting paid for passing backwards while another said he was sick and tired of it.
With regards to his crossing one fan said someone at the club had to take responsibility and teach him how to cross as he was squandering so many opportunities.
Here are the best reactions from Liverpool fans:
Is Alexander Arnold getting paid for the back passes?

Robertson and Alexander-Arnold being quite mediocre on the flanks in their ball control and delivery. Full backs have to be on it if we are to break this Palace team down.

OPINION
It’s easy to forget that Alexander-Arnold is only 19-years-old. He’s a brilliant player who’s only going to get better with experience. He does need to work at the crossing though. He gets himself in plenty of good positions but all too often he hits the ball completely out of the danger zone. He needs to look at someone like Kieran Trippier and work on nailing his deliveries. Liverpool have the attacking threat to punish the opposition, but struggled to break Palace down in the first half tonight. Some decent crosses from Alexander-Arnold could have made all the difference in the first 10 minutes.
