A section of Liverpool fans took to Twitter to rave over Alisson after his performance in their side’s 2-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace on Monday night.
The goalkeeper, 25, was far busier in his second match for Jurgen Klopp’s side and made a string of fine saves in the second half as Palace rallied hard after James Milner’s penalty on the cusp of half-time.
But Alisson held firm and Sadio Mane wrapped up the three points late on to secure a second win and another clean sheet for Alisson, prompting a deluge of compliments from Liverpool supporters.

Alisson and his feet are a partnership we need for life. Only 2 misplaced passes and both were over half way!! Damn what a passer!! #LFC

Really happy with Alisson. Glad we’ve got a keeper with hands at last, and some of his passing is absolutely unreal. Fantastic signing that. #LFC

Not even a debate, he proved in one night tonight why he’s better and why he’s ahead of Ederson in the Brazil pecking order, you actually can’t argue, theres nothing City fans can do about it, plain facts???????? Alisson is next level???????????? #LFC #RedOrDead ?????? pic.twitter.com/SfiDhl2Jtv

Alisson Becker proposed to his missus by half volleying an engagement ring right on to her finger while on Copacabana Beach… He was on Crosby Beach. #LFC https://t.co/xOklDSScUZ

Alisson looks very good. I’m not used to this level of calm under pressure from our keeper. The distribution and the passes were very precise. The guy knows what he’s doing. #LFC

Big win that was tonight! Palace made it very difficult for us, teams will find it tough there this season.
VVD is a beast! ????

Alisson has got better distribution routes than the Medellin Cartel. #LFC

My verdict from today’s game. Gomez was absolutely outstanding hope he keeps it up. Naby Keita is the link we were missing. Alisson, wow, amazing command of his area, and even more amazing was his distribution.
Milner didn’t have a great game. Neither did TAA
Great gritty win!

COMMENTARY:
Reading through the social media acclaim for Alisson after his second Liverpool match, you could say the goalkeeper has won the supporters over. While no position is as capricious as the lonely job of stopping the ball go in the back of the net, and one catastrophic performance can swing a career (just ask Loris Karius), it was almost impossible to watch the big Brazilian last night and not be impressed. Alisson made a couple of super saves, including a brilliant one from a Christian Benteke header, and his distribution was outstanding. But it was his calmness, solidity and sheer presence that really suggested Liverpool’s £67million for the goalkeeper was money well spent. In the last 10 minutes as an impressive Palace threw everything at the visitors, there was no suggestion that Liverpool would buckle or succumb under immense pressure. Instead, they weathered the storm, and their brilliant new number paid a huge role in that.
