A section of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to show that they want their club to complete a deal for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose.
According to Sky Sports, Schalke are in talks with Spurs over signing Rose, 28, in a deadline day loan deal, while the England international has also been given permission to speak with a number of unnamed clubs about a temporary switch.
Newcastle are lacking depth at left-back and some fans believe that the former Leeds player would be a seriously good signing for them if Mike Ashley was to have backed Rafa Benitez in the transfer market.

I thought the same when I heard he was available… He's class, and I think would complement Yedlin really well on the other side too… I can't see it for the life of me, but in an alternate universe where we were ambitious, we'd be all over him! #NUFC

Probably won’t get anyone else in this window now. It happens every single window. Why aren’t we in for danny rose on loan?? One of the best left backs in the country and we aren’t in for him. #nufc

Can @nufc not make a loan bid for Danny Rose? We need left back and he wants a move north? Surely funds are available for a loan move ffs #nufc

Statistics website Spotrac reports that Rose is earning £60,000-a-week on his deal at Tottenham, who kick off their Premier League campaign against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday.
OPINION
It seems as though if Rose is going to leave Tottenham, he is going to do it on loan and what these Newcastle fans have neglected to think about is that they already have the maximum number of loan players allowed at Premier League clubs. Kenedy and Salomon Rondon are at St James’ Park on temporary deals so if the Magpies were to sign Rose it would have to be a permanent deal. It would without doubt be a seriously good signing by Rafa Benitez, but due to the cut-price spending this summer, there’s no way that he would have been able to pull off such a coup.
