A section of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger after Angus Kinnear went public with his explanation for the club’s lack of transfer market activity.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Kinnear described the club’s transfer negotiations as “absolutely under control” but admitted the market was “slow and tough” amid limited movement at Elland Road.

Leeds have signed only one player this summer, the loan capture of Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker, but have yet to seal a permanent signing with the deadline for such deals only a month away.
Kinnear’s comments have not gone down well with the Leeds faithful.

It’s all a little too close to Ken’s playbook for comfort.

So basically, we're no closer on Abel after months, no closer to Vydra after a month, failed with 3 keepers. But we have it under control? The season starts in 4 weeks, what you playing at?

Translates into… clubs are beating us to our targets and we will be signing most of our players on loan. Same old excuses. Forest seem to be finding this window just fine. Funny that

COMMENTARY
One of the recurring themes among the sceptical and angry responses from United supporters is that the window does not seem to be too much of a struggle for Championship rivals like Nottingham Forest. The east Midlands club have sealed a blizzard of new deals as they look to follow the big-spending blueprint that took Wolves to promotion last season. With a bid also accepted for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban, the Leeds faithful can only look on enviously. It is fair to say that the lack of a permanent signing with the closure of the window for such transfers just four weeks away is a big issue, and will remain so until some top calibre additions arrive. And the capture of players for the Under-23s does not really count.
