West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight after a well-informed club insider reported that Marko Arnautovic is “happy” and has no plans to quit the London Stadium.
Italian outlet Leggo reported the Premier League club had put their star forward up for sale but ExWHUemployee, who is an outstanding source of news, dismissed that and reported how the Austria international has been training “superbly”.
The only possible fly in the ointment is that Arnautovic’s agent brother Daniel has been spotted at Inter Milan’s headquarters discussing the possibility of a transfer.
My news on Arnautovic has not changed. Just spoke to a couple of people who have told me he is not for sale and has been training superbly these last few days (including today) club don’t want to sell, no one has bid and unless his brother (agent) persuades him 2 go-he is happy

Hammers fans are pleased at the update on Arnautovic, although some revealed they will not be able to breathe a sigh of relief until the window shuts.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:
Based on last seasons performance I’d say he’s in line for a pay rise . We need him , n he loves us .

Best news ive had all day i know we are bias but i think personally for him a move away to a so called big club would be a bad move for him no guarantee of starting etc and especially with the team Pellegrini is building

COMMENTARY:
The update on Arnautovic has gone down very well with West Ham fans who took him to their hearts once he settled down following a wretched start to his career at the club. The 29-year-old was a the club-record signing last year but the fee has since been surpassed by the £40million-plus forked out on Felipe Anderson. The Brazilian will provide goals, assists and craft from out wide, with Arnautovic set to lead the line after adapting superbly to a new centre-forward role last season under ex-boss David Moyes. There is a sense the Austrian’s combination of pace and power could yield his finest Premier League season yet. But, a word of warning: the transfer window for permanent sales closes on 31 August, as normal. There is plenty of time for a deal to be done.
