OPINION
Allan joined Liverpool in the summer of 2015 but has barely been seen at his parent club due to struggles in securing a work permit. He is highly rated and talented enough to secure six Brazil Under-20 caps and has impressed during various loan spells, including at Hertha Berlin in Germany, Sint-Truiden in France and Limassol in Cyprus. A second spell at a German club is now firmly on the cards. Eintracht’s public stance is that it is yet to be decided whether he will play in the two friendlies against MLS teams Real Salt Lake and Philadelphia Union but sporting director Bruno Hubner told the official site, “he wants to take the opportunity to show what he can do.” Clearly, the 21-year-old would not have flown out to the USA unless a transfer is likely. Whether that will be a permanent deal or a loan is unknown at this stage, but there is a possibility that Allan will sever his ties for good with Liverpool without even making an appearance at any level.
