Everton fans will be jumping in excitement at the prospect that a dream transfer of Kieran Tierney may actually be about to happen after it was revealed on a podcast (03/07/18, 02:30) that the player is “actively” being marketed out and that a “deal in principle” has been agreed to deal with the Toffees.
It would be a real coup for the Blues to land the speedster, who according to the Express are preparing a £25million bid for the full-back.
Football consultant and insider Ian McGarry, who is renowned for his close links to the likes of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, has heightened the Toffees faithful reasons to be excited about the potential arrival of the left-back, likening the player to Ashley Cole on the Transfer Window podcast.
The former Chelsea, Arsenal, and England left-back was widely considered as the best in his position across Europe and possibly the world following his time in the game.
Cole was a formidable prospect down the left-flank, and what he lacked in height he more than made up for in his ability to read the game, his forays forward, and his speed.
Which is why, if Everton who Mcgarry reveals are closing in on a deal for the Celtic ace, they have no need to be concerned about bidding farewell to stalwart Leighton Baines, because with Tierney in the ranks they have a player who can take his position and dominate it for years to come.
