West Ham defender Reece Burke has completed his medical at Hull City having chose the Tigers over Championship rivals Derby County as the club he will be joining the summer, according to reliable insider ExWHUemployee.
The Hammers in-the-know, who have established themselves as a reputable inside source both on Twitter and on fan podcasts, claim that having met with both sides, it was the East Yorkshire outfit which were named as the winners of the transfer battle, with the promise of more first team football said to be the deciding factor.

Burke, who has made 15 appearances for the Irons’ senior side since breaking through their youth ranks, spent time with Bolton Wanderers in England’s second tier last season.
Opinion
Burke has made a sensible decision when it comes to deciding how to plan his future. At 21-years-old, playing time is everything if he wants to forge himself a path back to the very top in England, and while Derby County might be more likely to fight for a playoff spot in the Championship next season, regular game time at Hull will help him develop into the player that his potential promises. West Ham might have even been a little reluctant to let him leave, considering he is a homegrown talent, but they are right not to stand in the way of his desire for first team football. He can either help the Tigers fight their way back to a top-six spot in the second tier, or try and make sure he is noticed for his displays by someone who is either at the top end of the division, or even possibly a Premier League side.
