Everton must sign the brother of former Goodison Park star Romelu Lukaku, Jordan Lukaku this summer as the club is in desperate need of additions at left-back.

According to the Daily Mail, long-serving Toffees player Leighton Baines could leave Merseyside this summer and follow Wayne Rooney to the MLS with Chicago Fire and Philadelphia Union said to be interested in signing him.

Baines will turn 34-years-old in December and there have already been signs that injuries may start to be getting the better of him as he missed a good chunk of action last season.

Everton manager Marco Silva and director of football Marcel Brands definitely need to look at bolstering the left-back area of the squad and it seems like they are as Sky Sports has claimed that they are looking at Hertha Berlin’ Marvin Plattenhardt and Bologna’s Adam Masina.

One name yet to crop up is Lukaku’s with the Belgium international low down the pecking order at Lazio.

He made just 10 Serie A starts last summer and there’s a good chance that the Italian giants would consider cashing in on the 23-year-old, who would very much be a perfect addition at Goodison.

Lukaku is a very attack-minded full-back and when he has the chance, he loves to bomb forward down the left wing.

Lazio have at times used him as a left-winger in a 3-5-2 formation and if Silva wants to adopt this strategy with Everton, then Lukaku would surely fit in much better than what Baines would.
