Liverpool’s move for Nabil Fekir is back on and “progressing well again”, according to a reliable journalist.

Dean Jones, from Bleacher Report, made the claim on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon, after an exciting day for Liverpool fans.

In a whirlwind of activity, it was reported that Alisson was set to move to Liverpool and complete a medical after a £67million world-record fee was agreed for him.

Now it’s reported that Fekir could also be coming to Liverpool in what Jones said “could be a defining week for Liverpool”.

Good move for Liverpool?

Yes, and Liverpool fans will hardly be able to believe what’s happening after only just having had time to digest the news about Alisson. He’s said to be readying himself to jet to Liverpool to conduct his medical. But, no sooner has that been reported, than the move for attacker Nabil Fekir appears to not only be back on, but progressing well. It had been reported that Liverpool had until the end of the month to re-ignite their move for Fekir after the move seemingly collapsed before the World Cup. He didn’t play much of a part in Russia but he would add a huge amount to an already potent attacking Klopp side. It might be too much to take on board, but Liverpool fans might have another reason to be very excited in the next few days.

Likely to happen?

This has been on, then off and then on again, so it’s hard to say whether it’s likely with any degree of accuracy. However, it seems that all parties are back on track. Fekir wants to move to Liverpool and Klopp wants him in his side. If they can structure the payments to take on board the failed medical then it could well be another blockbuster transfer for Liverpool. With Fekir and Alisson, we think Liverpool might just be one centre-back short of a Premier League winning side. And that, as Jones said, would definitely make this a defining week for Liverpool.
