Liverpool have reportedly opened talks over a new deal for attacker Sadio Mane, and Reds fans are thrilled at the news.
The Telegraph reported that Liverpool expect Mane to sign and join Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in signing extensions.
Mane has three years left on his contract but Jurgen Klopp is keen to tie him down for longer after a successful season where he scored 20 goals, including 10 in the Champions League.
Many Liverpool fans flocked onto twitter after hearing the news and the consensus was that it was fantastic and that a new Mane contract would be one of the last pieces of the Liverpool puzzle for Klopp to tie up.

OPINION
Liverpool fans are thrilled with the news about Mane and it sounds like it’s a formality that he’ll sign in the coming weeks. One fan said it would be fantastic news if he extended as he had a feeling he could have his head turned by Real Madrid. Another fan listed the top quality players on long-term contracts and said that “the future is bright”. Another also mentioned the number of players on long-term contracts and said it was an amazing time to be a Liverpool fan. There’s certainly plenty of reasons to be optimistic ahead of the new season, and the mood at Anfield couldn’t be any more different to the pessimism at Man United.
