A number of Everton fans have taken to social media to react to the news that the Toffees have secured their first signing of the summer window in the shape of attacker Richarlison from Watford.
The Goodison Park outfit confirmed the Brazilian’s move from the Hornets to Merseyside on their official Twitter account and website, revealing that the 21-year-old had put pen to paper on a deal which will commit him to the club for the next five years.

A lot of fans were quick to welcome him to the blue half of Liverpool, while one fan insisted he was the best player from Brazil in the region – taking aim at the likes of Roberto Firmino and Alisson Becker over at Anfield.

The Everton faithful seem relatively pleased with what is the first signing of the Marco Silva reign, but the club might have expected a few more delighted responses. It seems the Toffees supporters have grown tired of what has been a prolonged transfer saga and with just one new name through the door and less than a month until the Premier League kicks off again, they are likely to be rather frustrated with how things have gone. Richarlison is an exciting signing but he is not going to change the team by himself, and with recruits needed in defence, Silva cannot think his work is done just yet.
