Chelsea have been offered winger Suso by Serie A giants AC Milan, according to Calcio Mercato.

The reputable Italian football website reports that the Blues could bring the 24-year-old former Liverpool player to Stamford Bridge, who could potentially be Maurizio Sarri’s first signing as he is reportedly poised to take over from manager Antonio Conte.

Suso is said to be an ideal player to fit into Sarri’s plans at the London club, and it is said that Chelsea making a move to snap him up this summer is not likely to make an impact on their transfer funds.

Good move for Chelsea?

Not really. It is difficult to envision where Suso would fit in amongst the array of creative midfielders and wingers that Chelsea already has on the books, and they have more pedigree that Suso does.

Suso had a rather unconvincing time at Liverpool after he joined them in 2014, so it is hard to understand why Sarri seems keen to implent him into his preferred formation.

Chelsea are much better off keeping their midfield as it is, rather than add Suso to their squad.

Likely to happen?

It remains to be seen. AC Milan have only offered the player to Chelsea, but it is understood that Sarri is keen on Suso’s ability, so he may push for the move.

Nothing is concrete as Chelsea themselves have not registered their interest in signing the former Anfield attacker, so it is hard to say what will happen in regards to Suso.

If Sarri is that keen on bringing the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge, then we may see a move happen, seeming as he is likely to take the helm.
