Ligue 1 giants Lyon are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham forward Reo Griffiths, according to Radio Scoop.
The French news outlet claims that the 18-year-old’s move to Lyon is imminent, and could be wrapped up within the coming hours.
It is understood that Griffiths has been tracked by clubs across Europe, but Lyon are in pole position to sign up one of Spurs’ most highly-rated young talents.
Good move for Tottenham?
Griffiths is one of the best young players coming through the Spurs youth teams and will surely one day be knocking on the door of the first team.
Last season, the England youth international scored a whopping 27 goals in 20 Under-18 Premier League appearances. He scored hat-tricks against Norwich and Reading’s youth side and became an instant fan favourite when he netted four goals and supplied three assist in a 9-0 win against Arsenal’s Under-18s.
Tottenham cannot afford to let promising youngsters like Griffiths leave and they should look to pull the plug on this immediately.

It has not been long since Griffiths reportedly signed a new deal at the North London club, so it is hard to see him wanting to leave, or Spurs wanting to cash in on the teenage sensation.
Lyon would be a weird move to make as well, especially as his form in the youth teams at Tottenham means that he will be moving up the ranks soon enough.
