PSV and Mexico attacker Hirving Lozano has instructed his representatives to offer him to Tottenham, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish news outlet claims that the 22-year-old ace, who impressed at the World Cup in Russia earlier this summer, is holding out for interest from Barcelona or Real Madrid, with him wanting to replace Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu should the Wales international leave.

It is understood that the rapid forward has offers on the table from ‘mid-table’ Premier League clubs, as well as RB Leipzig and Monaco.

Mexican news outlet Super Deportivo has reported that Lozano is valued at £42million.

Good move for Tottenham?

Lozano has been in stunning form over the last 12 months and would be a real asset for any team that should sign him up this summer, however that price-tag is huge for someone who has only played in Mexico and the Netherlands’ top-flights.

Last season at PSV, he scored 19 goals and supplied 11 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions as the Eindhoven club won the Eredivisie.

He continued that form at the World Cup with Mexico, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win against Germany as his nation reached the knock-out rounds.

Lozano would be a good addition for Spurs, but a risky one at the same time, and maybe Mauricio Pochettino should take that gamble as it could be a stroke of brilliance.

Likely to happen?

Lozano looks as though he has his heart set on Barcelona or Real Madrid, but with teams like RB Leipzig and Monaco interested in him, there’s little chance that the La Liga powerhouses would look for a deal, especially at £42million.

He seems desperate to leave PSV and Spurs may not like that approach either.

It’s just hard to see him joining a Premier League club this summer.
