A section of Celtic fans have been reacting on Twitter after Rangers confirmed that attacker Harry Forrester has left Ibrox.
The Light Blues announced on their official website on Wednesday that the 27-year-old has had his deal terminated, two and a half years after he was signed up by Mark Warburton.
Forrest spent last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon and it is clear that he does not feature in Steven Gerrard’s plans for the upcoming Scottish Premiership campaign.
Some Celtic fans took this announcement as a chance to troll their bitter Old Firm rivals, with one claiming that Rangers “couldn’t pay” Forrester.

OPINION
Forrester still had one more year left on his deal at Rangers, and it is clear that the Gers have been struggling to arouse interest in him this summer before decided to cancel his contract. He is one of a number of poor signings that Warburton made during his time at Ibrox, but getting rid of him is a good move for the Light Blues, who cannot keep players like him around if they want to catch up to Celtic. The Parkhead faithful will continue to troll their fierce rivals until that happens, but whatever they say about this announcement, it’s good news for Rangers.
