Wolves left-back Barry Douglas is set for a medical at Leeds tomorrow after Leeds agreed a fee that could rise to £3million, according to a Sky Sports journalist.

Rob Dorsett claimed that he has been given permission to discuss personal terms ahead of the move.

The claim was made on Dorsett’s Twitter account on Wednesday evening.

Good move for Leeds?

If this is true then Leeds have just got themselves one of the bargains of the summer. Wolves fans love Douglas and for good reason – 14 assists and five goals in 39 Championship games would endear him to anyone. The fee was rumoured to be around £5million and £3million is a seriously great bit of business for Leeds. Leeds fans have been waiting for some good news all summer and it sounds like it’s finally arrived. The Championship’s top assist provider from 17/18? Yes please. Now if they can seal a deal for the Championship’s top scorer of last season, lift-off could happen. There’s still time for plenty of deals to be done and Leeds fans will be hoping this one opens the floodgates.

Likely to happen?

Yes. This story came out of the blue on Wednesday morning, now a fee has been agreed and a medical scheduled. That’s fast work by Leeds and Victor Orta. Personal terms have yet to be agreed by the sounds of it, but if he’s having a medical then it looks like he’s very happy with his move to Elland Road. We could see this one being officially announced tomorrow or Friday at the latest. And that will be music to the Leeds fans’ ears.
