Tottenham may reportedly lose midfielder Mousa Dembele this summer and are going to find it extremely hard trying to replace him if he departs.

Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed on his personal Twitter website that the 30-year-old’s agent has jetted out to Italy to weight up offers from Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan.

He is a powerhouse enforcer that is one of the outstanding individuals in the Spurs squad and finding a similar box-to-box figure is tricky.

However, manager Mauricio Pochettino should place Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera on his summer radar, as he could be a brilliant replacement if Dembele leaves.

The Sun claims that Herrera is currently “frustrated” at Old Trafford due to the fact his contract is now entering its final 12 months and he is yet to be handed a new deal.

It is understood that he wants talks with manager Jose Mourinho about his plans for him next season, but right now the £125,000-a-week Spanish ace wants to fight for his place at Man United.

Herrera has proven he is a real enforcer in the Premier League during his time with Man United and was even the club’s player of the year a few years ago.

The central midfielder can play the deeper defensive role where he helps protect the back four, but is also very confident in possession and has a range of passing.

He is usually dependable to chip in with a few goals a season from midfield and is the imposing figure that could help soften a Dembele exit going into next year.
