Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia, according to TeamTalk.

The report claims that the Argentine player is keen on leaving the Portuguese giants after a fall out with the club president, and a host of Premier League clubs are showing interest.

Battaglia is the latest name on a growing list of player’s who want out, after a gang of masked ultras attacked the club’s training facility last month.

Good move for Wolves?

Yes.

Although Battaglia has not been able to cement himself as a regular starter in Lisbon, his vast experience could be crucial for Wolves in their hunt for Premier League survival.

The midfielder is an intimidating presence on the field, and is not afraid to do the dirty work between the boxes.

Nuno could be looking to capitalise on the chaos that is occurring in the Portugues capital.

Likely to happen?

Possibly.

The debacle surrounding the team is a huge cause for concern, and many players are trying to terminate their contracts after the fan violence.

The club president is not helping the situation, having threatened legal action against these players, who obviously want to leave.

Nuno could use his links to secure the move, and the Premier League is always an attractive commodity to wantaway players.
