A section of Leeds United fans have reacted with excitement and scepticism on Twitter after it was reported Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is ready to loan some of his club’s top young players to the Yorkshire giants.
The Sun claim the Spaniard is a huge admirer of new United boss Bielsa and will allow rising stars Angus Gunn Tosin Adarabioyo , Brahim Diaz and Lukas Nmecha from the City youth ranks to head to Elland Road next season.
This has met with plenty of responses from the Leeds faithful, who are split between those who have dismissed it as unlikely and those who are excited at the prospect.

Leeds fans are already still pinching themselves that their club have attracted a manager of the stature of Bielsa. For him to then follow up by taking advantage of his relationship with the feted Guardiola and loaning four of Man City’s top youngsters would further emphasis the immense strides made by the club in recent weeks. United supporters are getting used to their club being linked with different players, especially those at City and Tottenham, whose managers Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino have admitted to being Bielsa disciples, and there is all-round excitement at the transfer possibilities. Some are taking a sceptical I’ll-believe-it-when-I-see-it stance, but what is certain is that Leeds’ ambitions have shifted, and that can only be a good thing for the hardcore.
