Leeds United’s shock appointment of Marcelo Bielsa is bound to open a number of new doors for the Yorkshire giants in the transfer market and it has been reported that the Argentine’s relationship to other managers could see him welcome multiple players to Elland Road on loan this summer.

Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton has reported on the transfer talk podcast (41:45 onwards) that Bielsa has connections at Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham and could strike one or two loan deals with these clubs as he looks to strengthen his newly-inherited squad over the coming months.

One player that Bielsa must definitely look to seal a swoop for this summer is exciting young Spurs forward Kazaiah Sterling, who has shown he has bags of potential and he is certainly ready for first team football next season.

Sterling, 19, has only made one senior appearance in his career to date but has been prolific for Tottenham’s Under-23s squad and would make a perfect addition to Bielsa’s first team attacking options for the 2018/19 campaign.

The England youth international has great pace and a predatory instinct in the box that means if he has a chance to score – he will take it.

Even though this is with Spurs’ Under-23s, Sterling has already shown that he can score in the big games, having found the net against Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund youth sides last season.

Leeds are desperate for quality up front given the poor goalscoring exploits of their strikers in the 2017/18 campaign, so finding players who can be prolific in front of goal should be one of Bielsa’s priorities.

And Sterling is definitely the answer to Bielsa’s search and hopefully he is able to welcome the 19-year-old to Elland Road over the coming months.
