Leeds United fans have been left blown away on Twitter after it was reported the club had stepped up their chase for Birmingham goalkeeper David Stockdale.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Monday that Leeds’ hunt to sign Stockdale, 32, has intensified due to a wait over Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who also remains on the shortlist for the summer.
However it is understood that former Brighton goalkeeper Stockdale heads Leeds’ list of goalkeepers they want to sign this summer with Birmingham boss Garry Monk willing to cash in on him.
Leeds fans are happy to pick up Monk’s discard this summer, judging by their reactions on social media.
One fan claimed that the Whites must “make it happen”.

Leeds-born Stockdale made 39 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham this season as they flirted with relegation.
He conceded 58 goals and managed to keep seven clean sheets in what was a fairly inconsistent season by his standards.
Leeds rotated between three goalkeepers last season after signing Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan a just under a year ago.
However both of those would drastically disappoint and Paul Heckingbottom decided to promote Bailey Peacock-Farrell to the first team, who proved himself to be way better than his senior team-mates and many fans want him to keep the number one spot for next season.
