Bolton Wanderers attacker Josh Vela is most likely to be the next signing made by Leeds United, according to Football Whispers.

The football news site claims that Vela, 24, is firmly in the running to head to Elland Road in the summer transfer window after playing a key role in helping Bolton avoid relegation to League One.

Football Whispers rates there being a 3.8 out of 5 chance that the attacking midfielder will quit the North-West for Leeds this summer. A score of 5 out of 5 would mean that a deal would be a certainty as the site rates the likeliness of transfer rumours coming through after collecting data from across the planet.

OPINION

Vela would be a handy addition for Leeds this summer as they could do with some extra depth to their attacking midfield options. Samuel Saiz is likely to remain key for whoever is in charge of the club next season, but when he is injured or suspended, there is not a lot of creativity from anyone else in the midfield. Vela proved at Bolton this term that he can be a very good Championship player and Leeds will have a lot of work to do to pry him away from Bolton, where he has been such a key player over the years. He made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, having his time on the pitch cut short by a couple of injury issues. He supplied four assists and scored one goal for the relegation-threatened club, who clearly struggling to win games without him involved. Will Bolton let him leave? It would take a lot of money but their financial situation is not the healthiest.
