West Ham have received no offers for Pedro Obiang according to ClaretandHugh, despite rumours indicating that the midfielder could be on the way out.

Reports have surfaced during this transfer window linking the former Spain under-21 international with a move away from the London Stadium.

However, a well placed insider at ClaretandHugh and revealed that, although Manuel Pellegrini is looking to reshape his squad, no offers have been received on any players.

This will be well received by the Hammers faithful, as Obiang was a first-team regular under David Moyes last season, and played well.

OPINION

I must say it is a little surprising that West Ham have not received any offers on any of their players, as the Hammers squad is packed with some truly brilliant talents. Obiang staying will be a boost for Pellegrini, as his positive play down the spine of the Irons at the beginning of last season was integral to mounting a successful survival season to remain in the Premier League. Although Pellegrini might have a different vision of what he wants to do with West Ham, having a face like Obiang in the building to settle the foundations will be important. One concern could be the injury sustained in January, as sometimes players do not always play to their same standards once returning from the sideline spell, but Obiang did show on the last game of the season versus Everton that he looked in good shape. Any speculation surrounding an imminent transfer can now be put to bed, as for now, the Irons have received no offers for Obiang, and he looks to be heading nowhere.
