Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ben Marshall is set to leave the Midlands and move to Norwich to ply his trade, according to the Express and Star.

The English newspaper reports that Marshall is not part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans after having gained promotion to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old was brought to the Molineaux by former Wolves boss Paul Lambert in 2017, and signed a three-year deal at the club.

The report states that Marshall will complete his Canaries switch later on today, Friday, and remain in the Championship.

Good move for Wolves?

No brainer.

Santo has any number of players in the World available to him due to his fruitful link with agent Jorge Mendes, and Wolves have already brought in some attacking talent.

Marshall was not purchased by Santo, and rarely played for him, spending large parts of last season on loan at Millwall instead.

Likely to happen?

Seems so.

The Report indicates that the announcement could be this evening, and the move benefit’s both parties involved.

Santo is looking to build a new squad ahead of the hotly anticipated Premier League season, and Marshall was never in the blueprint.

With the history surrounding the loan move, it is clear that the Portuguese manager is willing to allow the 27-year-old to leave, so this one seems a done deal.
