New Arsenal boss Unai Emery can rectify the stale taste left at the end of the Arsene Wenger era, and bring the golden days back to North London if he keeps up his current transfer business.

The former PSG man looks to have taken proceedings back to basics at the Emirates, and targetted vital positional areas that needed strengthening.

The club announced the departure of Jack Wilshere which could be viewed as a negative, but this actually serves as the makeweight for a possible incoming, Lucas Torreira.

The Telegraph reported that the £26million swoop was moving closer, as well as contract talks progressing with Aaron Ramsey.

This represents a major step in the right direction for Arsenal, as Torreira will fit easily into the creative unit in the midfield, that possesses some World Class talent.

Let’s not forget that Emery inherited a squad with the attacking options already stacked, boasting Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil.

This was never the problem though, it was the spine of the team, and this has been addressed by Emery.

Stephan Lichtsteiner was a wonderful signing for Arsenak and his experience and winning mentality will greatly uplift the Arsenal defence, while Sky Sports reporter Fabrizio Romano claims on his personal Twitter account that the Gunners will also sign Greece international defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos to bolster Emery’s backline.

This new age of Arsenal could be very fruitful, if Emery can keep up this mesmerising transfer business, that ultimately could transform the team.
