Tottenham once again secured a top-four spot in the Premier League this season, but need to strengthen considerably if they are to continue that trend next year.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea missed out on Champions League spots this year, but you can expect the pair to be much more competitive going into the next campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino has pledged his future to Spurs and they need to make a couple of marquee additions to strengthen the squad.

They could do with some extra attacking ammunition in their squad to help them avoid any dry spells during a long season and that is why they should hijack interest in Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson from London rivals West Ham.

The Daily Mail claims in its live transfer blog (Thursday 10:21am) that West Ham have launched a bid for the 25-year-old worth over £35million.

They are now in discussions with Serie A outfit Lazio for the dazzling attacker and are showing some huge ambition to bring in the highly-rated Brazilian.

Anderson is the type of versatile attacker that could compete for a starting XI position in the Spurs squad and help ease the workload on talisman Harry Kane.

He is a speed demon that can play anywhere across the frontline and has the potential to rip up the Premier League.

Anderson certainly made an impact for an exciting Lazio side this campaign, as he was directly involved in 18 goals in 32 games across all competitions.

Spurs need to ensure they don’t stand still when their rivals continue to spend this summer and adding Anderson will improve their squad, while he can also fill in as a back-up centre-forward for Kane.
