Celtic fans have been ripping into Rangers after hearing that Turkish outfit Besiktas are in the hunt for Alfredo Morelos.

A report in Fanatik reveals that the Ibrox club would be willing to accept a £2.6million fee for the Colombian despite The Herald stating back in January that the Light Blue had put a £10million price tag on the player’s head.

Speculation has been on the up since the season ended, even though Morelos put pen to paper on a new deal at the club in March that would keep him at the club until 2021.

However, when the 21-year-old retweeted a post that suggested a move away from Scotland was on the cards, it added to question marks over his future.

The striker only arrived from Finnish club HJK Helsinki last summer and scored 14 goals in a total of 31 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, with an additional four efforts in the Scottish Cup and League Cup.

It was the fact that Rangers would reportedly be willing to accept nearly £8m less than the figures in the January transfer window that led to Hoops supporters ribbing their rivals with some hilarious tweets on social media.

Here is a selection of reactions on Twitter from Celtic fans in response to the report:
