Super-agent Jorge Mendes is bound to have a major impact on transfers at Molineux with him and owners Fosun sharing a controversial relationship over the ins and outs at Wolves.

With the Portuguese agent already sending a clutch of his clients to the West Midlands, Nuno Espirito Santo should look to get him to send Braga defensive midfielder Danilo to the club after an impressive season with Braga.

However Portugese news outlet A Bola has reported that Danilo, 22, underwent a medical at OGC Nice on Monday and with the deal yet to be wrapped up, Wolves still have the chance to blow the Ligue 1 club out of the water and hijack their move.

Record claims that Mendes will dictate where the Brazil Under-20s international will be playing next season, so there is still the possibility of him being available to Wolves, even with him in the latter stages of joining Nice.

Nuno would certainly be getting a very good player if that was able to happen.

Danilo was instrumental in helping Braga finish fourth in Liga NOS this season, appearing 46 times across all competitions.

He scored four goals and supplied five assists in the process, which is not a bad return for a defensive midfielder.

Danilo, alongside Ruben Neves, would give Wolves a great amount depth in their midfield as well as two players who would compliment each other very well.

There’s also the possibility that Neves could leave Molineux, so getting in Danilo could be the perfect replacement if Mendes pulled the plug on his move to Nice.
