Wolves fans react to Jota display for Portugal U21s

|

Wolves fans are urging their club to announce the permanent signing of attacker Diogo Jota from Atletico Madrid this summer following the Portuguese ace’s brace against Italy Under-21s on Friday.

The Esperancas, as they are nicknamed, beat the Azzurri 3-2 thanks to goals from Jota and one from Diogo Goncalves.

Jota only arrived at Molineux in last summer and was an instant hit in the side during his first six month loan spell which was extended by an further six months in the winter with the West Midlands club adding on an option to buy the player in July, an option that the club have already confirmed they will be exercising.

The 21-year-old, along with his fellow compatriot Ruben Neves, have enjoyed their first season with the club and have become the source for all that is good in their play.

Jota has made a total of 44 appearances for the Championship winners amassing 17 goals and four assists in that time and it won’t be long now before the Portuguese starlet’s fate is confirmed.

But one thing is for sure, and that is the fans will be celebrating should the attacker make Molineux his permanent home.

Here is what Wolves fans have been saying on social media about the player following the win:
