Tottenham fans have been raving on social media after reports surfaced linking them with a move for FC Porto left-back Alex Telles this summer.
According to Sky Sports, Spurs are keen on bringing in a replacement for Danny Rose who is set to exit the club in the coming weeks.
Fulham’s wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon is the number one target, followed by Luke Shaw but now with the Portuguese giants facing Financial Fair Play constraints, they may be forced to sell a number of players in order to come back in line with the regulations.
And Telles is one of those.
The 24-year-old Brazilian is under contract to the Primeira Liga champions until 2021 and has been formidable in the left-back slot for the team.
His four goals in 45 appearances for Porto this season have been dwarfed by his assist tally which stands at a massive 20 for the entirety of the campaign.
It is Telles’ creative ability that is likely to be the factor that has drawn him to the attention of Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Whatever way you look at it, the Brazilian is will be a popular signing if he comes off.
