West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell turned in a shocking display against Chelsea at the weekend and the club should look to cash in on him in the summer.

The 28-year-old was woeful in the 1-1 draw on Sunday and an early injury in the second-half at Stamford Bridge only spared his blushes.

He showed poor positioning and lack of quality on the ball as part of a back three, something that has become quite frequent in his game.

He also found himself completely bamboozled by opposition attacker Willian and looked a long way off the pace.

The three-time capped England international has proven himself to be steady at left-back during spells at the London Stadium, but the Hammers should now bin him.

The Sun reports that Premier League rivals Everton are eyeing a summer move for Cresswell and want to launch a £25million raid for him.

Cresswell may be useful in David Moyes’ squad due to his versatility, but it would insane to turn down the huge eight figure sum.

West Ham could definitely buy an upgrade in the transfer market with that transfer fee and the left-sided flyer would not be a colossal loss.

Arthur Masuaku has proven himself to be much more involved as a left wing-back than Cresswell, while his problems in the heart of defence were on show for everyone to see against Chelsea.

West Ham definitely need some major work in the summer transfer window to ensure they are not fighting relegation next season, but pushing up towards the European spots instead.
