Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son has been one of the team’s top performers this season, but unfortunately for him he has just hit a mini rough patch in recent matches.

The 25-year-old has failed to score in his last five consecutive games across all competitions and has had little influence in that time.

He is a dynamic attacker with 18 goals and 10 assists during the campaign, but is perhaps burning out a little after a 48-game season for him so far.

Spurs face Manchester United on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-finals and it’s an absolutely vital clash as Mauricio Pochettino goes in search of his first piece of silverware.

The Argentinian manager has a huge dilemma to make over his starting XI and Son could be omitted from the side if he goes based on form.

The North London club have a strong squad and he is competing alongside the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura for a starting position.

It would have been a n0-brainer to start Son in Spurs’ strongest XI a couple of months ago, but surely Pochettino has to go with the form players that can get at Man United.

The FA Cup showdown is one of the biggest games of the season for them and they would love to end their 10-year trophy drought.

Son could still be deployed as an impact substitute in the closing stages if the game becomes stretched and he does have the quality to score in an instance.

However, his form has just nosedived at the wrong time and he could pay the price when the starting line up for the cup tie is revealed.
