Celtic need to start drawing up plans to improve their squad ahead of next season despite the fact they are still competing for a domestic treble.

The Bhoys have once again looked a cut above the rest in Scotland, but quite simply they failed in Europe after they were dumped out of both the Champions League and Europa League in poor fashion.

Brendan Rodgers needs to add some top quality to his squad over the summer to help take them to the next level and should eye a reunion with his former player Michel Vorm.

The duo previously worked together at Swansea City and the goalkeeper would be a serious step in the right direction.

His contract with Tottenham expires in the summer and the Scottish giants should swoop in quickly to bring him to Parkhead.

Celtic currently have the likes of Craig Gordon, Dorus de Vries and Scott Bain competing to be in goal, but Vorm is far superior to them all.

The Holland international is a brilliant shot-stopper and is also very capable with the ball at his feet.

The 34-year-old should still have several years at the top of his game and has been too good in recent years to act as understudy to Hugo Lloris at Spurs.

Celtic would give Vorm a lifeline to have a crack in Europe and on a free transfer he would be a great pick up, while paying his wages would definitely be worth it.

He is a Premier League veteran that would be a brick wall in Scottish football and it would be a brilliant move for both parties.
