Celtic forward Moussa Dembele is set to return to the first-team in order to face Rangers on Sunday, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper claim that after surprisingly playing no part of the Hoops’ 2-0 defeat to Hibernian last Saturday, the 21-year-old forward will be available for the upcoming Old Firm derby.

The Daily Record report that Dembele should be back in Brendan Rodgers’ side to face the Gers after causing them so many problems the last time the two sides met.

The Hoops beat Rangers 4-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park eight days ago, with the centre-forward being one of the goalscorers.

Dembele’s latest goal against Graeme Murty’s side meant that he had scored seven goals in eight games against the Light Blues.

OPINION

Rangers supporters should fear the sight of Dembele at this point as it seems that he’s always likely to score against their side. The 21-year-old must be now chomping at the bit to be involved against the Gers after missing the game against Hibernian. The Hoops could wrap up their seventh-successive league title on Sunday and Dembele will no doubt want to be a part of the celebrations if that happens. The 21-year-old seems to have recovered some of the form he showed last season as of late, after struggling earlier in this campaign. Dembele now has 15 goals for the season and will probably like to improve that tally in the games that remain.
