Benitez must be handed new deal immediately

Manager Rafa Benitez has always said that he would not think about his personal future at the club until after safety was secured. Now, with their Premier League status all but confirmed for another season, Mike Ashley and the rest of the Newcastle top brass must move in to hand him a new deal immediately. Benitez has already admitted that he would stay at the club for ten years if the project is right, and the hierarchy should need no more encouragement than that. Reaching the 40-point mark with five games remaining in the season is a remarkable achievement, so imagine what the Spaniard could do with decent backing this summer and for next season.
