Aston Villa have posted a photo of recovering striker Jonathan Kodjia in full training at Bodymoor Heath, and fans have reacted with excitement at the update.
The 28-year-old has been out of action since the beginning of November after suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury which eventually required a second operation.
Kodjia had been out with the initial problem over the summer and underwent surgery to fix it, returning to action in mid-September for the Villans.
However, that issue resurfaced once again while the striker was away on international duty with the Ivory coast, and he had to endure another operation on his ankle.
The club have now confirmed that his recovery is going strong after posting a picture of him in full swing on Twitter:

This comes after the club revealed on Twitter that Kodjia had completed a scheduled 45 minutes in a closed-doors friendly last week.
Kodjia was Villa’s top scorer last season, bagging 19 goals in 40 Championship appearances as the club finished the season in 13th in the Championship.
Fans have now taken to Twitter to react to the exciting news, with many expressing their joy at the prospect of seeing the goal machine back on the pitch during a crucial run-in.
