Dedryck Boyata completed 90 minutes in the win over Rangers on Sunday – and Celtic fans on Twitter annihilated him for his performance.

The 27-year-old endured a difficult match at Ibrox, but his side eventually still ran out 3-2 winners in the Scottish Premiership clash.

Rangers led twice in the first-half courtesy of goals from Josh Windass and Daniel Candeias, but were pegged back on each occasion by Tom Rogic and Moussa Dembele respectively.

Brendan Rodgers’ side then saw Jozo Simunovic shown a straight red card early in the second-half for an elbow on Alfredo Morelos.

However, the 10 men of Celtic fought back to earn an unlikely three points in the Old Firm clash as substitute Odsonne Edouard netted the winner.

The result means that Celtic are now nine points clear at the top of the league and also have a game in hand on second-placed Rangers.

Celtic fans on social media ripped into Boyata despite the defeat and feel the Belgian really struggled in defence.

The centre-back was dispossessed inside his own half for Windass’ opening goal and was guilty of being sloppy throughout the 90 minutes.

He has been a regular feature in the starting line up this campaign for Rodgers and fans have been highly critical of him.
