Tottenham are readying a bid for Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that Spurs are in the race for the 28-year-old alongside Liverpool as they eye the Bundesliga ace.

It is understood that the Germany international is currently stalling over a new contract with Dortmund, which expires at the end of the next season.

The report details that the winger will make a decision on his future after the World Cup this summer and the Dortmund could then look to cash in if he views his future elsewhere.

Reus is an explosive attacker that is renowned for his blistering speed and his quality in front of goal.

Good move for Spurs?

Spurs would be sending out a real statement to the whole of Europe if they managed to sign Reus, who on his day is one of the most scintillating attackers around.

The German would be the perfect big name signing ahead of their move to a new ground and he would rip up Premier League defences.
He has made 194 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 91 goals and supplying 61 assists.

However, the only negative is that Reus has been very injury prone throughout his career and has only just returned from his latest setback.

Likely to happen?

This deal certainly seems feasible at this early stage as Reus has less than 18 months remaining on his currently deal.

The Dortmund attacker is yet to commit his long-term future to anyone and Spurs’ interest seems genuine as they prepare a bid
