West Ham starlet Domingos Quina is a summer transfer target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claim that Dortmund are prepared to offer the 18-year-old midfielder a pathway into their first-team, much like they have done with former Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho.

The Sun report that West Ham see a big future for Quina, but would be in line for a big fee for the Portugal youth international if they sold on this summer.

Quina has made six senior appearances for the Hammers since they snapped him up from Chelsea, the most recent coming in their EFL Cup quarter-final loss to Arsenal.

Dortmund are currently sitting in third in the Bundesliga, 21 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

Good move for West Ham?

This is a tough toss-up for the Hammers.

Do they keep Quina on the books and hope that he reaches the vast potential that he has so far promised?

Or do they cash in on the 18-year-old and focus on their season, be it in the Premier League or the Championship?

At this point, if they stay in the Premier League, then the best move would look to keep him around for another year and see what happens with his development.

Likely to happen?

You would think that the Hammers would want to keep hold of Quina if they avoid relegation this season, as he is so highly-rated within the club.

However, if they are relegated it is a different story altogether, and it may be seen as the best move to cash in on their young starlet.
