With West Ham reportedly ready to hand Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere a lucrative contract, the club must act fast to beat other teams to his signature.

The Daily Star reported that the Gunners midfielder was willing to hear one more offer from his current club regarding a new contract, with his current £120,000-a-week deal set to expire in the summer.

The newspaper claimed that after Arsene Wenger’s side recently failed to get him to sign a contract, which would have cut his wages by 25%, his future at the Emirates hangs in the balance.

The Daily Star’s report also revealed that Everton and West Ham were both willing to pay him more than his current salary, if he opted to join either club in the summer.

Wilshere has made 33 appearances this season across all competitions for the Gunners, and has arguably been their best player in recent months.

The in-form midfielder’s ability to create opportunities for his teammates by playing sublime passes, make him a game changing player for any team that is lucky enough to have him.

Wilshere would walk into the current Hammers’ team and be a revelation, as he is miles better than all of their current midfield options.

The 26-year-old central midfielder, given his age, has the potential to become and remain the heart of David Moyes’ side for many seasons to come.

However the Hammers must act fast to put a lucrative contract on the table for Wilshere, even if he is set to negotiate with Arsenal once again, as they will face tough competition for his signature.

The Daily Star’s report along with mentioning Everton’s interest, also stated that Juventus and AC Milan were keen on the talented midfielder.

It is believed that the Toffees’ offer for Wilshere would be mouthwatering, as the newspaper reported that Sam Allardyce’s side had already offered Wilshere an £8million signing on fee in order to tempt him to Goodison Park.

With Wilshere currently putting in superb performances, more clubs are set to become interested in the midfielder as his contract saga continues.

Therefore the Hammers must put their money where their mouth is and act fast to offer Wilshere a mind-blowing contract offer that would see his future be at the London Stadium.
