Paul Ince has predicted Swansea City to defeat West Ham 2-1 when the teams meet at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

The BT Sport pundit shared that he thought a victory for the Swans would make the Premier League’s relegation battle interesting again as it would put the Welsh side on the same points at the Hammers.

“Last season, both games were one 1-0 by West Ham and they just edged Swansea out,” wrote Ince in his column for the Daily Express.

But I think the tables can turn this weekend, if they were to win, they’d be level on points at 30 and that suddenly makes the relegation battle interesting once again.

“I swear – all the action is at that end of the table at the minute!”

The Hammers go into their game against the Swans on Saturday after being thrashed 4-1 by Liverpool in their last league match.

OPINION

The Swans have definitely improved since Carlos Carvalhal was appointed as their manager, and there’s no reason to suggest that they can’t get all three points on Saturday. Moyes will no doubt be worried if his side drop points to a fellow relegation battler, but he must be aware that his side face a tough task against the Swans. If the game was at the London Stadium or the Hammers went into this match on the back of a better result, then it would be a different story. However after the Reds tore them apart in the second half of last weekend’s game, it sadly looks like they’re about to be dragged deeper into the battle for relegation.
