Danny Rose completed 90 minutes in the win over Bournemouth on Sunday – and Tottenham fans on Twitter were furious with him for his performance.

The 27-year-old was promoted to the starting XI and featured in his first Premier League games since December, with teammate Ben Davies making way in the side for him.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side fought back from a goal down to record a comprehensive 4-1 away win against the Cherries and cemented their spot in the top four.

The North London club leaped up to third in the league standings ahead of Liverpool and are also five points above fifth-placed Chelsea in the battle for the Champions League spots.

Junior Stanislas opened the scoring for Bournemouth after a fast start from the hosts, but goals from Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son turned the game on its head.

They then added some gloss to the scoreline late on as Son added a third and Serge Aurier headed in a fourth in injury time.

Spurs and England fans now face a patient wait as they wait to hear the extent of Harry Kane’s ankle injury after he was forced off injured in the fist-half.

Spurs fans on social media decided to criticise Rose for his individual display against Bournemouth and feel he looks well off the pace.

The left-back has been unable to get back to full speed after recovering from his long-term injury and appears behind Davies in the pecking order
