Stan Collymore has suggested that in-form Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son is worth around £50million in the current market.

The 25-year-old left-winger has been in spectacular form of late for Spurs and netted twice during the 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.

He has now made 43 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 18 goals and supplying nine assists in return.

Collymore was asked on social media about the worth of the South Korea international and claimed on his personal Twitter account he could be worth up to £50million.

Son’s role in Mauricio Pochettino’s side could become even more important in the coming weeks as Spurs wait to hear news about Harry Kane’s injury.

The versatile attacker is usually deployed out wide, but can also play as a centre-forward and proved effective in that position against Bournemouth.

OPINION

Collymore’s £50million valuation of Son is probably not far off the money and Spurs would receive a big windfall for him if he was to ever leave the North London club. However, they desperately need him to keep performing for the rest of the campaign and his displays lately have been stunning. Son can still play a huge role as the club look to secure a top four finish and also put some silverware in the cabinet by winning the FA Cup. The dynamic attacker has a habit of popping up in the right place and has a great understanding with the likes of Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
