Simon Mignolet has changed his agent as he plans to leave Liverpool in the summer, according to DH.

The Belgian newspaper claim that the 30-year-old goalkeeper joined the team of Didier Frenay at Star Factory in order to find a new club in the summer as he is not happy about sitting on the bench.

DH report that with Mignolet still being relatively young but having loads of experience, it will see him be able to easily attract interest from other clubs.

It is believed that it will be a hard task to find a club that needs a new number one who can also afford the Belgian international.

However, DH’s report believes there will be serious opportunities for him in the Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga.

The newspaper goes on to name Borussia Dortmund, who could be looking for a new number one in the summer, and Napoli who have previously shown interest.

Good move for Liverpool?

Yes.

After making 22 appearances for the first-team this season, Mignolet is no longer the number one goalkeeper at the Reds.

Loris Karius looks comfortable between the sticks at Anfield and as he is only 24-years-old, is no doubt capable of keeping Mignolet out of the team for a very long time.

Therefore the 30-year-old needs to move on and the Reds have no reason to keep him, as they can easily recruit a goalkeeper capable of being cover for Karius.

Likely to happen?

Yes.

There’s no way Mignolet will be happy about being on the bench, and will no doubt force a move out of Anfield to get regular football.

As DH’s report reveals that he has already changed agent, the Belgian international is already making plans for a life after Liverpool.

It’s unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will stand in Mignolet’s way when it comes to letting him leave the club.
