Leeds United are considering making a move for Hannover 96’s Marvin Bakalorz, according to Fussball Transfers.

The German football outlet claim that the Whites wish to bring the 28-year-old central midfielder to Elland Road in the summer, which is a year before his current Hannover contract is due to expire.

Fussball Transfers report that Leeds want to sign him on a permanent basis and a transfer fee of £7million is being discussed by the club.

It’s believed that Hannover would consider a £7million bid for Bakalorz, who has found himself benched for his current club in recent games.

Even though the central midfielder currently finds himself on the sidelines, he has made 22 appearances in Bundesliga for Hannover this season.

Good move for Leeds?

Yes, Bakalorz is an experience player who can dominate the midfield for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

While £7million is a lot of a money for a side in the Championship to spend, Leeds need a lot of investment in order to turn their team into one capable of winning promotion next season.

If the 28-year-old arrives at Elland Road, supporters could be excited about their chances of having a successful league campaign next year.

Likely to happen?

There’s definitely a chance.

Bakalorz has recently found himself benched for Hannover and could be looking for a way out in the summer.

The Bundesliga side could also be willing to sell him for the reasonable price of £7million, as his contract expires in 2019.

That is huge money by Leeds’ standards of the last decade-and-a-half, but could still represent decent value if they cobble together the cash.
