Rangers eased past St. Johnstone 4-1 at McDiarmid Park in the Premiership on Tuesday night, and fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the performance of striker Alfredo Morelos.

Morelos helped to create Rangers’ first goal of the match when he ran on to a long ball over the top before being brought down by Alan Mannus for a penalty, which was converted by James Tavernier.

Josh Windass doubled their lead after a slick passing move on the edge of the box saw him clean through on goal and he made no mistake with the finish.

Sean Goss scored the third of the evening when he stepped up to curl a lovely free-kick over the wall and into the bottom corner to essentially seal the win.

The Colombian striker then finally got in on the act himself as he stooped to beautifully head home Tavernier’s cross at the near post.

The Saints pulled one back after Jason Kerr headed home from a corner to deny Gers a clean sheet, but it was too little too late for the home side.

Fans took to Twitter after the game to praise 21-year-old Morelos, who was brilliant all game and is now the Premiership’s top scorer outright.
