Celtic are in line for a massive triple injury boost for their Europa League last-32 clash with Zenit St. Petersburg next week, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper claim that absentees Tom Rogic, Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts are all pushing to be fit for the upcoming European clash.

Armstrong has been missing for the Hoops’ last five matches as he underwent surgery for a hernia problem, but is on course to be fit for next Thursday’s first-leg tie.

Rogic has been missing since December 5th with a knee complaint, but the Australia international has returned to full training ahead of schedule and could also be fit for next week.

Wing wizard Roberts has been absent since the end of November with a serious hamstring strain, and the first-leg may be too much of a push for the 21-year-old, but he may be available for the away leg on February 22nd.

OPINION

All three returnees will be greatly welcomed by the Hoops. Rogic’s presence in midfield will be a big help in their upcoming clash against Zenit, who will be a dangerous prospect. Armstrong’s return will give Celtic a similar boost. Roberts return for the second leg will probably be the biggest of all three, with the Bhoys massively missing the on-loan winger since his injury setback in November.
