The central midfielder made his senior debut this season when he made a late cameo appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the EFL Cup win over Barnsley.

Meanwhile, he has also been included in match day squads in both the Premier League and Champions League as he looks to make an impact on the first team.

OPINION

Oakley-Boothe is certainly the Spurs youngster knocking on the first-team door and it may not be too long before he manages to force his way into contention. The English teenager does have stiff competition ahead of him to try earn a midfield spot, but senior manager Pochettino has proven he is willing to throw players with big potential into his side. Spurs have several young players with huge potential in their ranks and Harry Kane is the perfect example of someone rising from that position to become a vital first teamer. Kane enjoyed a number of loan spells away from Spurs during the early stages of his career and that may be an avenue that more should pursue.
