Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has explained his side are wary of Tottenham’s ‘fab four’ of attackers ahead of their Champions League meeting.

Spurs travel to Turin on Tuesday night for the first leg of a last 16 match in Europe’s elite club competition.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side topped a group consisting of Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, while they also have the confidence of a 1-0 win over Arsenal fresh in their mind from the weekends.

Meanwhile, Italian heavyweights Juventus have also been in great form this season and have kept a staggering 15 clean sheets in their last 16 appearances.

Chiellini has revealed Juventus are cautious about Spurs’ attacking threat in the shape of attackers Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

The four players have become ever-presents in Mauricio Pochettino’s side and have scored a combined total of 60 goals between them so far this season.

“One to one clashes are important but the whole team will have to do its best to limit, not only Harry Kane, but they have this ‘fab four’ in the attacking area,” Chiellini said in a pre-match press conference, as quoted by Football London.

OPINION

Juventus have paid Spurs the ultimate respect by naming their ‘fab four’ as lethal opponents prior to their meeting, but the Serie A club are defensive experts and certainly appear to have done their homework. Kane is the prolific goalscorer of the side with 32 goals so far this season, but he benefits off the brilliant service in the final third. Pochettino’s team has picked itself for large parts of the campaign and their attackers has formed a great understanding. Eriksen, Alli and Son will be crucial on Tuesday night to try help Spurs hit Juventus away from home on the counter attack.
